The men's basketball team has been having great success executing the burn offense, but several years ago enjoyed success by outgunning the other team. By shooting 11 of 23 from three point range, Notre Dame won at Syracuse 103-91 and became the first team to score over 100 points at the Carrier Dome since 1996. Freshman Luke Harangody led the Irish with 21 points while Russel Carter and Colin Falls each had 4 three point shots. Harangody and Zach Hillesland each recorded a double-double (21pt/13reb and 14pt/10reb).

The 61 points scored in a half is five points short of the Notre Dame record in a half and four points short of the most Syracuse has ever given up.
