February 4, 1970 - Most points scored in a game

In John Dee's final season, before Digger Phelps took over, the men's basketball team would face St. Peter's for the third time ever in the last decade. Notre Dame came in with an 11-5 record and were ready to play at home. Behind Austin Carr, the team scored a school record 135 points and won by 47 points. The final score would be Notre Dame 135 - St. Peter's 88. All these points came before the three point line was introduced. Carr scored 44 points (half of St. Peter's entire team) and nabbed 16 rebounds.
