With Symeon starting again the next day the Irish eliminated the powerful Texas Longhorns 9-0, setting up their semi-final match up with Penn St. Rightfielder Morris hit a home run and also threw a Longhorn out at the plate in this game. With the loss, Texas was eliminated from the tournament.
