March 22, 2014 - Softball cancelled due to...cold

Notre Dame's doubleheader against Pittsburgh was cancelled due to an odd ACC rule that only applies to softball. The rule states:

"Games shall not be played if the Weather.com 'Feels Like' temperature for the facility is less than 32 degrees (Fahrenheit) at the start of the game"

The team tried everything it could...

...but it wasn't enough. This could be an annual occurrence with the conference season starting earler than the Big East did. Plus the ACC apparently is not used to cold. We need to keep the ladies warm.
